Ojo de Venado (Deer's Eye Seed) — Single Seed Mucuna pruriens | Sold as curio only

The Ojo de Venado, or Deer's Eye, is a traditional Mexican protective charm with a long history of use against the evil eye. The seed itself functions as an apotropaic talisman, its dark, eye-like appearance lending it the protective symbolism that has made it a beloved folk charm across Mexico and Central America.

Known by many names including Sea Bean, Ox Eye, Mucuna Vine Seed, and Brown Hamburger, these are the mature seeds of Mucuna pruriens, a member of the legume family and one of the classic Lucky Legumes of folk magic tradition. In Mexican and Central American folklore, the Ojo de Venado is carried for protection against the evil eye, general good luck, and is also considered an aphrodisiac charm.

Each seed is 100% natural and unaltered. Size, color, and thickness vary naturally from brown to near black, averaging approximately one inch in diameter.

This listing is for one single seed.

Sold as a curio only. All described uses are folkloric and historical in nature. No medicinal or magical claims are made or implied.
