This oil is a personal blend inspired from the Viridarium Umbris by Daniel Schulke. Each year I make this blend for my personal use and have decided to release a small number of bottles for fellow practitioners.

Venturing into the Greenwood is inherently a sacred undertaking, as it is home to the illustrious figures of the Hedge, whose benevolence imparts all knowledge. As one embarks on this journey, the divine herbalist transforms into a Wayfarer, donning the tools of their trade such as a staff, pouch, and weathered furs as the emblem of their calling. Indeed, every trek through the Thicket becomes a form of banishment, as is the case with every facet of the Art, whereby the Devotees of the Greenwood are presumed to be in the precincts of Cain.

A simple boot-washing ritual should be performed as a fundamental component in preparation for wayfaring, anointing the boots before embarking on the Path, and a personal Walking Charm for protection on the road.

This oil was crafted by macerating St. Wort flowers in jojoba oil and sunflower oil to create a beautiful red-colored base before adding leaves and essential oil of Laurel leaf and Mugwort. Finally, Asarum rhizomes were steeped in the compound oil for three months to create a powerful aromatic anointing oil perfect for the wayfarer. The oil can be applied to the feet or boots before beginning the journey.

You will receive 1 vial of ritually crafted anointing oil that contains ~10 mL of oil in a amber glass roll-on bottle.

This oil blend contains the following ingredients: jojoba oil, sunflower oil, St. John's wort, Laurel leaves and essential oil, mugwort leaves and essential oil, Asarum root. Because this oil contains essential oils, you should not apply this to the skin. Phytognosis advises you to not use this on skin and you do so at your own risk.
