Xultun Tarot: The Maya Tarot Deck

The Xultun Tarot, created in 1976, was the first of the non-Western or indigenous tarot decks.  It is based on images from Maya history and culture and is also known as the Maya Tarot or the Maya Book of Life. The cards were printed from a single painting by New Zealand artist, Peter Balin.

A complete deck of The Xultun Tarot includes 78 cards, the original box, and instructions. The box shows mild wear, else cards are in excellent condition.

First (1976) edition, published by Arcana in the USA (not the 1982 2nd edition by Lotus Press). Only 500 copies were printed. Deck consists of 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards accompanied by "codex" (folding pamphlet), in original box.
